Dentistry,
Becomes Art

The Meaning of Moon Jar

The Moon Jar, a large round jar resembling the moon, has been made since the reign of Kings Yeongjo and Jeongjo of the Joseon Dynasty.
For Joseon scholars, the ultimate enjoyment was sitting in an empty space, contemplating a Moon Jar.
It was used like a mirror for reflection and self-cultivation.

The Moon Jar is born through the process of joining two hemispherical halves that have been fired separately.
When these two halves endure and interact within the kiln, each jar develops its unique character.

The natural integration seen in Moon Jars, where two entities come together, can be observed in these jars.
The Moon Jar on display, created by artist Kwon Dae-sup, stands 59 cm tall and is the largest known existing Moon Jar.
It appears robust with a strong masculine beauty, aligning well with the ceramic-focused atmosphere of our dental clinic.

We hope for solid harmony between patients and medical staff, between classical and modern treatments.

About the Space

We aimed to create a space that offers a natural and stable feel.
There're no straight lines in Mother Nature.
This phrase is always in my mind during treatments.

There are no straight elements in the natural and beautiful original form of teeth. When gentle curves and rough textures are considered,
beautiful teeth emerge without rejection.

We've infused our space with such sensations, incorporating numerous curves and rough textures.
The lighting also uses indirect lighting to add stability to the space.
Besides Moon Jars, other elements like the powder room, VIP room, and hallway lighting with ceramic pieces blend seamlessly into the space.

The round chairs placed casually in the waiting room remind one of low rocks in nature where one might rest for a moment.
The long bench, a creation by Vallentin Loellmann, features a brass structure supporting a solid piece of wood, adding a touch of nature to the waiting area.

The clinic's equipment and spaces are built to or exceed American standards.
Sirona chairs ensure non-invasive treatments as well as comfort for both patients and medical staff during procedures.
Axeos CT equipment allows for detailed observation of maxillofacial lesions, adding safety and precision to surgeries including implants.
Prime scanner, Prime milling, MCX5 are used for the rigorous creation of durable and aesthetic dental prosthetics in a short time.

The cube-shaped area in the waiting room is the dental lab.
The most beautiful dental prosthetics are created through collaboration between dentists' expertise and skilled dental technicians.
This in-house lab allows for precise communication and supervision over the manufacturing process and materials, based on long-trusted brands.

Speakers installed throughout the clinic serve as decorative objects and fill the space with comforting music, reducing patient anxiety.
The outdoor terrace is a refreshing space for both clients and staff to enjoy the outdoors.

The treatment areas utilize natural light and various lighting intensities to achieve the most aesthetic color reproduction.
