Rebuilding with
DARUN Implants
When reconstructing with implants, it is important to place them in a good position that can withstand chewing forces
and make maintenance and repairs easy. Instead of indiscriminate bone grafting, it is advantageous to place implants
in your own bone to elicit a good bone response. Based on this, we robustly rebuild molars to improve chewing efficiency.
When multiple molars or the entire set of teeth need to be reconstructed, it is additionally important to connect the implants
to distribute forces and prevent issues under strong forces. The more implants are connected, the stronger they can be,
and complications from implants are reduced. Connecting more than three implants, sometimes 6-8 implants,
without any twisting or gaps is a highly challenging process.
(Prosthetics forced in with gaps or twists can lead to prosthetic fractures, implant screw fractures,
excessive bone loss around implants, and other complications.)
This requires several stages of delicate treatment and technical processes. At USC Prosthodontics, this is one of the specialized areas.
At our clinic, skilled technicians make this process smooth and accurate. The precise and robust implant prosthetics
made at our clinic are easy to detach and secure, making maintenance and repairs easy.
Immediate Placement
In most cases, we attempt immediate placement. If the bone is severely damaged,
we proceed with bone grafting and wait until the conditions are favorable before proceeding with delayed implant placement.
Restoring with
DARUN Cavity Treatment
01
Strong and Durable Molar Treatment
For smaller molars, relatively non-invasive restoration with lithium disilicate is possible, but for larger molars, which receive the most force, it is beneficial for the lifespan of the tooth to mechanically form a strong base and use strong materials like zirconia. This is especially essential for men.
02
Endocrown to Minimize Tooth Removal
Sometimes after root canal treatment in the molar area, the height of the crown is often short.
Zirconia prosthetics without sufficient height can easily fall off. To address this, crown lengthening surgery can be performed,
but this prolongs and complicates the treatment process, and shortens the tooth root, which can negatively affect the prognosis.
At our clinic, we use the endocrown technique to maximize thickness at the chewing surface with lithium disilicate.
Using pre-treatment processes and adhesives that maximize adhesion to the tooth surface, we restore teeth without surgery.
• Advantages of the Endocrown Method
-
- 01
- No need for additional surgery like crown lengthening, so treatment time is shorter.
-
- 02
- Prevents tooth foundation from becoming unstable due to shortened roots from crown lengthening.
-
- 03
- Relies on maximized adhesion, allowing a relatively non-invasive approach.
Complete in the Afternoon if You Visit in the Morning
DARUN Cavity Treatment
There is a perception that cavity treatment requires multiple visits to the dentist,
which often causes busy professionals to miss the right time for treatment.
At our clinic, with an in-house lab, treatment and prosthetic restoration can be completed
in one day without the need for multiple visits.
